Occupational health medical file: medical confidentiality

At the time of his information and prevention visit, the occupational physician draws up the employee's occupational health medical file (Labour Code, art. R. 4624-12).

This visit can also be carried out by the physician employee, the occupational health intern or a nurse (Labor Code, art. L. 4624-1).

This occupational health medical file retraces information relating to the employee's state of health following the exposures to which he has been subjected. It also contains the opinions and proposals of the occupational physician such as, for example, recommendations for changing positions due to the employee's state of health.

As a continuation of the care, this file can be communicated to another occupational physician, unless the worker refuses (Labor Code, art. L. 4624-8).

This file is kept in accordance with medical confidentiality. The confidentiality of all data is thus ensured.
