The MOOC BiG - Introduction to Bioinformatics and Genomics Medicine aims to address all aspects bioinformatics necessary for the production and interpretation data from high throughput sequencing (SHD) or Next generation sequencing (NGS) in a laboratory of medical genetics with examples of rare diseases and oncogenetics.
This teaching introductory mainly aimed at health professionals using genomics. Its objective is to provide concrete and adapted content to enable them to understand the different stages of phenotyping at diagnosis and to have a critical eye on the analyzes taking into account the pitfalls and limitations of SHD.
For the public or curious learners, the objective is to make them aware of a technique which takes a major place in the diagnosis of genetic diseases and in the French health system.
