Flu, bronchitis, bad fall ... an illness, even a mild one, an accident, an epidemic usually requires you to interrupt your work. To give you time to heal, your doctor will prescribe a work stopping, resulting in loss of salary during the period of absence… and the payment, under conditions, of replacement income.
What conditions must be met to benefit from daily allowances?
To be compensated, if your sick leave is less than 6 months, it is necessary :
to have worked at least for 150 hours during 3 months preceding thework stopping ; or have contributed 10 302,25 € (1 times the amount of the hourly minimum wage) during the six months preceding the cessation.
You must also inform your employer immediately, send him the third part of the sick leave, and send the first two parts to your health insurance fund within 48 hours. Your salary is partially guaranteed by law, or in its entirety if the collective agreement or the pension plan of your company so provides.
