Companies with 50 to 250 employees only have a few days to calculate their gender equality index. This tool, created under the law of September 5, 2018 for the freedom to choose one's professional future, allows employers to measure where they stand in this area.

In the form of a score out of 100, the index is made up of four criteria - five for companies with more than 250 employees - which assess inequalities between women and men: the pay gap (40 points), the difference in the distribution of annual increases (20 points), the number of employees increased on their return from maternity leave (15 points), the place of women among the 10 highest paid (10 points) and, for companies in more than 250 employees, the difference in the distribution of promotions (15 points).

The SMEs with at least 50 employees have until March 1 to publish it on their website and communicate it to their Social and Economic Committee (CES) as well as to the labor inspectorate (Direccte or Dieccte). This obligation concerns companies with at least 1
