On December 9, 2021, the publisher Apache reported a security flaw in the Log4J logging software component, widely used by many applications using the Java language.
This flaw, called "Log4Shell", is widely present in many information systems. It is likely in the most unfavorable cases to allow an attacker to take remote control of the targeted application, or even of the entire information system where it is present.
