Do you take notes and want to find your way around? Do you do calculations on a computer and your results change from day to day? Would you like to share your data analyzes and your latest work with your colleagues so that they can reuse them?

This MOOC is for you, doctoral studentsresearcher , master's studentsteachersengineers from all disciplines who want to train you in publishing environments and reliable tools:

  • Markdown for structured note taking
  • of  Indexing tools (DocFetcher and ExifTool)
  • Gitlab for version tracking and collaborative work
  • Notebooks (jupyter, rstudio or org-mode) to efficiently combine calculation, representation and analysis of data

You will learn during the exercises based on practical cases to use these tools to improve your note taking, your data management and calculations. For this, you will havea Gitlab space anda Jupyter space, integrated into the FUN platform and which do not require any installation. Those who wish can do the practical work with Rstudio ou Org-mode after installing these tools on their machine. All the tools installation and configuration procedures are provided in the Mooc, as well as many tutorials.

We will also present to you the challenges and difficulties of reproducible research.

At the end of this MOOC, you will have acquired the techniques allowing you to prepare replicable computational documents and to transparently share the results of your work.
