With the changing world of work, many people want to quit their job, start a business or change careers in order to do work that is more meaningful, for themselves and, ideally, for the world. But seismic upheavals are also occurring at the macroeconomic level. Worldview has changed dramatically since most of us entered the workforce.

Especially since machines can do more today than we had imagined. They can replace human jobs that they could not replace before. The machines can perform accounting tasks, surgical operations, automated phone calls for restaurant reservations, and other repetitive manual tasks. Machines are getting smarter, but the value of human capabilities versus machines remains critical. As these jobs are replaced by machines, humans must adapt and develop skills to secure their career future.
