The world owes the “Agile approach” to a group of American computer scientists. Together, they decided in 2001 to revolutionize the IT development process and wrote the “Agile Manifesto”; a working method centered on customer satisfaction, which is structured around four values and 12 principles, as follows:

People and interactions more than processes and tools; Operational software more than exhaustive documentation; Collaboration with clients more than contractual negotiation; Adapting to change more than following a plan.
