When you study science and health, you have to assimilate thousands of words. These words are made from a number of bricks, the number of which is limited, and which are easy to recognize. The aim of the course is to familiarize you with these bricks and also with their method of assembly, so that, faced with a word that you have never seen before, you are able to break it down and deduce its meaning thanks to the knowledge that you will have acquired.

This free online course therefore focuses on the etymology of scientific and medical vocabulary. It is aimed at high school students preparing for PACES, paramedical training, scientific studies, STAPS ... It is also aimed at students of these different courses, as well as anyone interested in the etymology.

In addition, this MOOC offers additional preparation, as words and morphemes (i.e. “etymological building blocks” of words) will introduce you to new scientific disciplines that you may not yet know: anatomy, cell biology, biochemistry or embryology for example.
