SMIC 2021 amount: an increase of 0,99%
In their report submitted to the Minister of Labor at the beginning of December, the experts recommend limiting the increase in the 2021 minimum wage to what is provided for by the texts and to refrain from any help. According to these criteria, the report tentatively estimates that the increase should be 0,99%.
During an intervention on the BFMTV set, on December 2, Jean Castex replied that there would probably be no boost from the SMIC. He specified that the discussion was not stopped but an increase between 1 and 1,2% of the SMIC would be envisaged.
The 2021 minimum wage increase was announced by Gabriel Attal, government spokesperson on leaving the Council of Ministers. No boost has been declared as part of the increase in the minimum wage for 2021 itself.
