What types of training during Pro-A?

These student employees take advantage of internships and other opportunities to volunteer for technical or specific tasks. How does work-based training take place?

Training can be held during working hours. The employee is therefore paid monthly. A more experienced employee, appointed by the business manager, plays the role of tutor and therefore provides work-study training to do this. Tutoring, as part of the Pro-A, lasts between 6 months and 12 months (or 150 hours minimum).

The tutor will welcome and guide the employee during his retraining or training. It is up to this tutor to plan his schedule and activities in order to teach all the desired techniques. This same tutor will take part in the final stage of the training follow-up: its evaluation.

The Pro-A can take place outside working hours. No training allowance will be received by the beneficiary in this case. The working hours can be entirely or partially devoted to training sessions. The employer and the employee concerned must decide together, after the drafting of an agreement by the care of the trainee.

During this period, the employee's employment contract will include an amendment. However, he continues to enjoy all the benefits linked to Social Security or the company's complementary health insurance company. For example, he may have reimbursements and support in the event of illness.

Where does the funding for Pro-A come from?

Taking work-study training means accepting a professional assignment. Employees with access to work-linked training cannot be required to pay anything. It is rather the Competence Operator (OPCO) or the company (provided you have a training service) that finances everything.

This is a flat rate that covers training, accommodation and transport costs for the work-study employee. The flat rate in question is 9,15 euros per hour by default according to the decree. However, the branch responsible for training may provide for better compensation.

The remuneration of employees in training can be guaranteed by the Competence Operator if the initiating professional branch has planned it in advance. The operator can also pay for all the services of the company tutor.

He can assume the costs related to the exercise of the tutorial service always within the framework of Pro-A.
