Sick leave linked to Covid-19: exemptions from the conditions for payment of daily allowances and employer supplement

Since the onset of the health crisis, the conditions for entitlement to daily social security benefits and additional employer compensation have been relaxed.

Thus, the employee benefits from daily allowances without the conditions of entitlement being required, which are:

work at least 150 hours over a period of 3 calendar months (or 90 days); or contribute on a salary at least equal to 1015 times the amount of the hourly minimum wage during the 6 calendar months preceding the stoppage.

Compensation is paid from the first day of sick leave.

The 3-day waiting period is suspended.

The employer supplementary allowance scheme has also been made more flexible. The employee benefits from the additional indemnity without the seniority condition being applied (1 year). The 7-day waiting period is also suspended. You pay the additional salary from the first day of retirement.

This exceptional system was to apply until March 31, 2021 inclusive. A decree, published on March 12, 2021 at Official Journal, extends the derogatory measures until June 1, 2021 inclusive.
