LInequalities between women and men have persisted in the world of work for decades. Women earn on average 24% less than men (9% of wage gaps remain unjustified), work much more part-time, and are also confronted with sexism at work, whether or not it is conscious.

The law of September 5, 2018 for the freedom to choose one's professional future in particular created the obligation for companies with at least 50 employees to calculate and publish their Professional Equality Index each year, no later than March 1 and, if their result is not satisfactory, to put in place corrective actions.

This Index, calculated on the basis of 4 or 5 indicators depending on the size of the company, makes it possible to engage in reflection and improvement actions on this question. The data is shared on the basis of a reliable method and makes it possible to activate levers to put an end to the pay gap between women and men.

This MOOC, developed by the ministry in charge of labor, aims to guide you on the calculation of this Index and the actions to be taken depending on the result obtained.
