Learn to model objects in 2D with Inkscape so that you can fabricate them with CNC machines.
To make an object with a laser cutter or CNC machine, it must first be modeled. It's on the software Inkscape, an open source tool, that you are going to take your first steps in 2D modeling.
You will be accompanied by a interdisciplinary team designers, makers from universcience (Cité des sciences et de l'industrie and Palais de la Découverte), engineers from IMT Atlantique and developers from the Inkscape community.
You will discover the know-how craftspeople who integrate digital into their creation and manufacturing processes. You will have a global vision of the production process of an object from 2D modeling in the designer's computer, to the use of the model by a craftsman or an industrialist.
